Kimberley's Farmer's Market

Posted July 13, 2016

Fresh food from local farmers and food producers, crafts from local artisans, live music and delicious food all served up in downtown Kimberley every week during the summer season! The Kimberley Farmers’ Market began in 2014 as part of Wildsight Kimberley/Cranbrook’s food sustainability initiative and immediately became an integral, vibrant part of the community. We are looking forward to another great market season this year!

Every Thursday night until September!

Coffee time in Kimberley

Posted September 22, 2014

Today I met up with a friend and old colleague for a coffee in the Platzl.  We were able to sit on a patio as the weather is beautiful today.  The sun was shining and the temperature was about 26 degrees.  The Platzl is a great meeting place as we could chat, people watch and run into old friends.  Everyone seems joyful and to be taking advantage of the warm weather.  There was a couple next to us who were on a motorcycle touring trip, there were families going to the library, kids running and chasing each other and people mingling in and out of shops.

Fall in Kimberley

Posted September 9, 2014

Well the weather sure took a turn yesterday and last night.  We had a beautiful weekend in Kimberley last weekend.  Everyone was out and about enjoying summer like activities.  Last night the rain came in and it turned a little chilly.  We however, did manage to avoid snow unlike our friends in Alberta.  The forecast for this weekend is suppose to beautiful and the long range forecast is great.  Sunny skies and cool nights is very common in Kimberley after the September full moon.  So we are looking forward to the great weather, some BBQ's and outdoor activities over the weekend.

Golfing in Kimberley

Posted August 27, 2014

Last week I joined some guests for a round of golf at Trickle Creek Golf Course.  The course was in fabulous condition, the food was great and the company was even better.  Now...let's talk about my golf game or not.  I love the rolling hills and narrow fairways at Trickle Creek but a couple of the holes on the back nine got the best of me.  My drives were great until about hole 16.  Then the 3 putts started to play into the game too.  Well, I can't wait to get out golfing again.
